Today was a GREAT day! It was great for so many reasons I can't remember them all.....Ben went back to school, Jacob went to Diane's and I started back to work. It was a good day at work, picked up Ben and Jake and came home that afternoon. The boys went outside to play (on the trampoline of course) which allowed me to "plan" supper. For those of you who know me, planning supper and actually making it in a "timely" manner is somewhat of a CHALLENGE. However, we ate supper at 5:00, the dishes were done by 6:00, all of us went downstairs (I walked on the treadmill) and the boys played "wii" and watched Everyone's Hero.

The boys got to bed and about 8:30 PM we started hearing the dreaded chirping sound for one of the 12 smoke detectors (maybe not that many, but close) in the house! Luke and I listened very carefully and we decided it was coming from the smoke detector in the living room. Of course that is the one at the top of the vaulted ceiling above the stairs..........Luke was a great sport (not even mumbling under his breath) got on his "slip-on" shoes (boots), coat and headed out to the shed to get one of the many ladders (in the dark).

(Doesn't my honey look like a pro???? Must be the 28 years he has been working as a Lineman for Westar-!)

After getting the smoke detector down we soon realized there was no battery in that one, therefore, it wasn't the one making the noise..................Luke took another deep breath AND....

At the bottom of the stairs in the basement was the bad battery.....Didn't even need a ladder to change the battery! Luke was a very good sport!
