Spring Break

We stayed pretty busy over spring break.
Monday, we met some friends to go swimming in Hesston. I forgot my camera but there were 4 tired boys when we were done!
On Tuesday, Leah, from our Bible Study invited a bunch of us to go to the armory and "play" on some of the equipment. It was a lot of fun to get to play on "real" army trucks rather than playing with Uncle Louie's old G.I. Joe sets!
After playing at the armory we went to the library and checked out some books. It was quiet on the way home and I realized they were reading their new books!

Jacob was reading about amphibians and came across a picture of frog anatomy. So the quiet quickly turned into uncontrollable laughter. I got an anatomy lesson from a 5 & 6 year olds perspective. It was pretty funny but I will leave it to their Aunt Jenn to give them the real lesson (since this is her speciality)!

It was pretty chilly Thursday morning at the armory and we got to go inside and shoot "hoops" and ride the utility court around the building. It was fun for us (moms and kids) but I am not sure if the other soldiers were as excited about screaming kids as we were!

Ben and Jacob in a Hummer...Army style that it is!

Ben, Jacob, Daniel and Matthew.
Thank you Jason and Leah for inviting us, we had a great time!

Gpa Jim left today

I wish you could see a picture of Trooper. He is mopey (is that a word) today. He must know that his second "owner" is on a plane to Thailand today. Dad has been here for a month and helped me with some of those really "quiet" days of being unemployed. So now the house seems quieter than it was before......I should clean, do laundry, do dishes, do something, but I think I will go take a nap since I have been up since 4 AM. I guess that is one good perk of being unemployed and having your children in school.
